Deep crimson in colour with intense dark berry, choco-mint aromas and spicy complexity. A sweet-fruited palate follows with plentiful blackberry, dark plum fruits, spicy notes, fine grippy bittersweet tannins and well-integrated fresh acidity with sandalwood, seasoned oak to finish. Now–2028 The Willows Vineyard G7 Mataro 2020 G 91 Medium-deep colour with attractive, upfront appeal thanks to lovely fragrant blackcurrant pastille, raspberry aromas with graphite, vanilla complexity. Smooth and inky textured on the palate, it shows gentle dark and red berry fruits with fine slinky textures before finishing chalky al dente firm, long and minerally. Now–2027 Utopos Wines Mataro Shiraz Grenache 2019 G 91 Deep crimson. Intense and dense dark chocolate, cedar, blackberry aromas with herb, aniseed complexity. The palate is richly concentrated and fruit sweet with luscious dark berry fruits, mocha, chocolate liquorice notes and plentiful chalky/ chocolaty tannins. Still quite young with the oak dominating the fruit a touch. Now–2030 Rosenvale Vineyards Estate Grown Mataro 2019 G 90 Medium crimson with red cherry, red plum, mocha walnut and slight sherbet complexity. Well concentrated and evolved on the palate with red cherry, red plum and baked earthy fruits, fine chalky/ slightly grippy textures and mocha complexity before finishing grippy and long. Now–2028
