An open-knit and user-friendly style of Grenache, with mulberry, baked earth and spicy aromas with old oak in the background, which is already drinking at peak. It takes a distinctly savoury turn on the palate with strong earthy tones supported by sinewy tannins through to a finish of good length. A wine with wide appeal to enjoy in the short to medium term. 2022-2026 Rosenvale Vineyards Vine Vale Road Grenache 2019 G 92 Medium crimson in colour with flinty, meaty, redcurrant, raspberry fruits topped by espresso notes. The palate is smooth, complex and already drinking well, with redcurrant, coal and meaty flavours supported by fine, loose-knit chalky textures and integrated acidity. Now-2026 Running with Bulls Garnacha Grenache 2021 G 92 Medium-deep crimson. Well pitched for casual drinking with fragrant red cherry, raspberry aromas with marzipan, roasted walnut notes. Well concentrated fruit-sweet palate with plentiful raspberry, strawberry flavours, slinky textures, underlying roasted walnut savoury notes and linear fresh acidity. Attractive fruit complexity and viscosity round out the package. Now-2026 Seabrook Wines The Broker Grenache 2018 G 92 Medium-deep crimson. Developed redcurrant, tobacco leaf and dark chocolate aromas with a gentle lift. The palate is attractive and evolved with redcurrant, tobacco leaf, mocha favours, fine bittersweet tannins and fresh long acidity plus roasted walnut seasoned oak notes on the finish. Now-2025 Tscharke Wines A thing of beauty Grenache 2020 G 92 Medium crimson. Fragrant and juicy aromas of fresh raspberry and pomegranate with graphite notes. It’s then medium-bodied, supple and fruity with delicious drinkability thanks to plentiful raspberry, pomegranate, red cherry fruits, fine loose-knit slinky tannins, attractive mid palate viscosity and fresh mineral acidity before finishing chalky firm.
