Medium-deep crimson. A ripe and bold Barossan with intense red cherry, musky plum and chinotto aromas with dark chocolate complexity. Then sweet-fruited on the palate with seasoned oak and ginger plus a touch of confeection. Lovely aromatics, fine persistent grippy textures and fresh acidity to finish, but the oak and sweet notes dominate. Now-2028 Small Victories Wine Co Old Vine Grenache Carginan 2021 G 92 Medium-deep crimson. A flavoursome and open-knit expression of Barossa Grenache with attractive musky plum, redcurrant, hint of earthy, roasted walnut aromas. Generous and supple with plentiful musky plum, redcurrant fruits, fine slinky textures, attractive mid-palate viscosity and linear fresh acidity. Finishes chalky with plentiful sweet fruit/ aniseed notes – an easy-drinking bistro style well done. Now-2026 Teusner Wines Avatar Grenache Mataro Shiraz 2020 G 92 Medium-deep crimson. A powerful and brooding style with beautiful strawberry, raspberry, dark chocolate and liquorice aromas. Generous and sweet-fruited with impact and intense sweet raspberry, dark chocolate, cedar flavours, fine gravelly textures and fresh long acidity. Finishes firm and a touch sweet, making for a good commercial style. Now-2028 RedHeads Wine Princess of Thieves Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2020 G 92 Medium-deep crimson. Very attractive dark plum, blackberry aromas with dark chocolate complexity and just a touch of development. Richly flavoured wine with plentiful dark plum, blackberry and raspberry fruits, fine slinky/ chalky textures, very good mid-palate volume and integrated fresh acidity. Finishes chalky and minerally with spicy/ truffle to finish. Very good GSM style. Now-2028 Alkina Grenache 2020 G 91 Medium colour. Attractive floral red cherry, raspberry, musky plum aromas. Medium-concentrated with sapid red cherry, raspberry, earthy/ walnutty notes and fine slinky tannins. Finishes chalky/ grippy dry. Now-2025
