Medium crimson. Fragrant red cherry, raspberry, red plum and strawberry aromas with herb garden notes. A very supple, fruit sweet palate with light red berry fruits, superfine textures and lovely mid- palate viscosity before finishing long and sweet. Very pinot-like, with a touch of aniseed at the finish. An impressive and delicious early drinking style. Now–2025 Two Hands Wines Twelftree Vinegrove Road Grenache 2020 G 94 Medium crimson. Lovely fresh pure and vibrant aromas of raspberry and strawberry fruits with mocha, savoury oak and aniseed complexity. Inky textured and plump, it shows delightful pure raspberry, strawberry and redcurrant fruit flavours with fine slinky textures and fresh long juicy acidity. Now–2030 Yalumba The Tri-Centenary Grenache 2018 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Intense red cherry, mocha and herb garden aromas to start, followed by a silky textured palate with attractive developed red fruits, fine lacy textures and mineral length. A gentle and complex style of grenache with attractive pinot noir viscosity. Now–2028 Henschke Johann’s Garden Grenache Mataro 2020 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Intense musky plum, inky, ferruginous aromas with herb garden, liquorice notes. Generously concentrated with abundant musky plum, strawberry fruits, ample mid-palate viscosity, fine chalky/slightly rusty tannins and underlying roasted walnut notes. The heat of a summer’s day at the finish. ‘ Now–2028 Medium crimson. Fresh musky plum, raspberry, redcurrant aromas with roasted walnut, espresso, aniseed notes. Lovely supple and creamy wine with plentiful raspberry, plum, redcurrant, nectarine fruits, fine loose- knit textures and fresh long aniseed kick. Generous and fruit driven with lovely density, richness of flavour and line of attack. Best to drink while young and primary fruited. Drink now but will keep for a while.
