Medium-deep crimson. Cranberry, red plum, red cherry aromas with flinty graphite minerality which adds depth and interest. Well concentrated red cherry, cranberry, mulberry fruit flavours, fine slinky tannins, attractive mid-palate viscosity and long mineral acidity to finish. Now–2028 Hayes Family Wines Glengrae Grenache 2021 G 94 Medium-deep crimson in colour and opens up with attractive inky musky plum, raspberry aromas and flavours. Slurpy wine with plentiful musky plum, raspberry pastille flavours, fine slinky textures and fresh juicy acidity, before finishing chalky and minerally. Now–2028 Kalleske Wines Old Vine Grenache 2020 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Lovely, luscious and generous fruits with musky plum, blackcurrant, graphite and bush garrigue notes. Richly flavoured and buoyant, there are deep-set dark and red berry fruits, fine vigorous textures and plentiful underlying roasted walnut/ marzipan complexity. A well-made wine with very good density and liquorice/porty notes to finish. Delicious to drink. Now–2030 Rosenvale Vineyards Rosenzweig Der AUB Grenache 2020 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. An open-knit and slightly reserved Grenache style with attractive cranberry, red cherry, musky plum aniseed aromas plus savoury notes. Well concentrated, supple and almost creamy- textured, with plentiful raspberry, red plum and earthy fruits with fine chalky textures and fresh long mineral acidity to finish. Now–2028 Saltram Wines Winemakers Selection Grenache 2019 G 94 Medium crimson. Beautifully bright and fragrant with intense dark plum, raspberry, mocha/ espresso aromas topped by dark chocolate herb notes. Impressively concentrated on the palate with redcurrant, plum fruits, fine slinky textures, lovely fruit sweetness on the mid-palate and attractive mineral length before a burst of espresso/ roasted coffee notes at the finish.
