Medium-deep crimson. Intense, glossy and strikingly vibrant raspberry pastille, red cherry Turkish delight, chinotto aromas. Smooth and supple with exceptional complexity – lovely inky raspberry pastille, red cherry fruits, fine slinky textures and savoury peppery spice before a juicy finish. A reference style and delicious. Now–2032 Kurtz Family Vineyards Charlie’s Grenache 2019 G 96 Medium crimson. Powerful pure raspberry, mocha, roasted chestnut with a hint of shellac aromas. A richly concentrated palate follows with pure raspberry, dark plum, blackberry, mocha marzipan flavours, fine chocolaty textures and integrated acidity before finishing with graphite notes. Now–2030 Laughing Jack Wines Old Vine Moppa Grenache 2019 G 96 Medium-deep crimson before launching into beautifully ripe raspberry, dark chocolate, praline aromas with vanilla spice notes. Ample raspberry, praline flavours follow with fine grainy textures, underlying mocha notes and attractive mineral length before finishing chalky firm and crisp. Now–2030 Schwarz Wine Co Meta Grenache 2021 G 96 Medium-deep crimson and superbly pitched with beautifully fresh raspberry, red cherry, musk, hint of dark chocolate aromas with bush- garrigue notes. Generous and velvety smooth with buoyant red and dark fruits, fine chocolaty textures and underlying espresso, dark chocolate flavours with a minerally finish. Highly individual and worth tracking down. Now–2028 Bethany First Village Grenache 2019 G 95 Medium-deep crimson. Attractive raspberry, strawberry aromas with underlying mocha notes. Well-concentrated palate with ripe raspberry, strawberry, musky plum fruits, fine slinky textures, attractive mid-palate viscosity and fresh long mineral acidity. Finishes chalky firm with some aniseed notes. Very expressive and classic. Now–2028
