First Drop Wines ‘Fat of the Land’ Seppeltsfield Single Vineyard Shiraz 2016 G 90 Deep crimson in colour with a bold, slightly jammy edge to black cherry, black olive and liquorice aromas. Plentiful black cherry, blackcurrant, liquorice and black olive flavours provide good follow-through supported by fine sinewy textures and mocha oak before a firm, graphite finish. Now–2028 Garden and Field Wines Gomersal Road Shiraz 2018 G 90 Deep crimson and shows dark cherry, inky, slightly jammy graphite aromas with mocha oak in support. Well concentrated on the palate with generous dark cherry, dark plum and mocha flavours, plentiful graphite textures and integrated fresh acidity before finishing with al dente/ grippy tannins and attractive juicy dark fruits. Now–2028 Heathvale Wines The Reward Shiraz 2018 G 90 Medium-deep crimson. Fruit sweet and vigorous with fresh black olive, black cherry and graphite aromas with a faint minty edge. It is followed by good flavour concentration of sweet dark cherry, black olive fruits with brambly textures and mocha notes before finishing with a chocolaty/gravelly firm finish. Now–2030 Kalleske Wines Zeitgeist Shiraz 2021 G 90 Opaque in colour and a wine made for a good time and not a long time with its generous ripe, primary aromas of fruit pastilles, juby and jammy fruits with a little touch of liquorice allsorts. It’s then fleshy and juicy in the mouth with some stalky spice providing a perfect additon to inky fruits with a little kick of savoury tannins to finish. 2022 Orlando Wines Printz Shed Northern Barossa Shiraz 2018 G 90 Medium-deep colour. A ripe, crowd-pleasing and high-pitched Barossan with elderberry and blackberry aromas with a hint of mint. Good concentration shines through on the palate with more elderberry, blackberry and mulberry fruits, fine dense chalky textures with an underlying minty black olive, savoury complexity. A chewy dry finish provides some ageing potential. Now–2028
