Medium-deep colour and seductive with intense blackberry, dark chocolate aromas with herb garden notes. Richly flavoured, dense and compact flavours on display that are reminiscent of blackberry, mocha and liquorice underscored by fine chocolaty tannins before finishing slightly firm. Now–2026 Heirloom Vineyards Shiraz 2020 G 92 Opaque colour followed by a dense, ripe style rippling with sweet dark chocolate fruits and new oak. Plump blackberry fruit flavours are well matched to chewy tannins and sweet mocha oak that makes for a sturdy, muscular style. Power is good as is length – it only needs a little time to An open-knit and immediately welcoming Barossan thanks to a deep crimson colour and intense blackberry, liquorice, cedar, ginger, dark chocolate aromas with bush garrigue notes. Now–2020 Schwarz Wine Co Meta Shiraz 2020 G 92 come together. 2025–2032 Pindarie Western Ridge Shiraz 2020 G 92 A bright-fruited and more lightly framed Barossan style with layers of mulberry and dark cherry fruits plus an attractive stalky, spicy lift. Vibrant and engaging dark berry fruits provide good support on the palate with stalky tannins helping to support an extended finish and some future ageing complexity. Now–2024 Schwarz Wine Co Nitschke Block Shiraz 2020 G 92 Deep crimson and an early drinking style with lifted blackberry pastille, dried plum, cola aromas with herbal complexity. Well concentrated and fruit sweet, the palate shows dark plum, chinotto flavours, fine graphite/ brambly textures and crunchy acidity with lovely ripe pastille fruits, savoury complexity and vinosity providing a delicious finish.
