Medium crimson in colour, this is reserved and quite subtle with its pretty array of cherry glacé, aniseed aromas with mocha notes. Lovely smooth cherry, espresso favours follow, underpinned by fine slinky/ graphite textures and underlying tobacco leaf before a long, minerally finish. Now–2030 Orlando Wines Centenary Hill Shiraz 2017 G 93 Medium-deep in colour, with fleshy, open-knit and intense dark chocolate, dark cherry aromas with herb garden aniseed notes. Well balanced, there are plentiful choco-berry fruits and fine chocolaty textures on an elegant palate with firm chalky/ graphite tannins to finish. 2024–2032 Paulmara Estates Syna Shiraz 2018 G 93 Deep crimson and bold in character with intense dark cherry, roasted chestnut aromas with attractive liquorice complexity. Voluminous with plentiful dark berry fruits, roasted chestnut chocolaty complexity and fine gravelly textures provide a firm claret-like finish with attractive mineral length. 2024–2034 Peter Lehmann Wines VSV – Hurn Shiraz 2019 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. An open-knit and attractive style with buoyant cranberry, boysenberry fruits with savoury ginger notes. Sweet-fruited cranberry, boysenberry, dark chocolate flavours follow with toasted vanilla, mocha complexity and fine chocolaty textures. Overall, very well balanced with a lovely core of fruit sweetness. Now–2028 RedHeads Wines 1888 Shiraz 2020 G 93 Deeply coloured with robust aromas that are ripe, generous and approachable with dark cherry and earthy spices well matched to high quality, well integrated oak. Good old-vine impact on the palate with dense, compact and muscular dark berry fruits with rich tannins which are well balanced before a long and strong finish. Nice wine. 2027–2035 Rollick Wines The Vice Shiraz 2019 G 93 Medium-deep colour with beautifully vibrant aromas of fragrant red cherry, strawberry fruits with graphite geosmine complexity. Minerally on the palate with plentiful red cherry, strawberry and blackberry fruits, fine slinky textures and plentiful juicy acidity finishing buoyant and fresh. Now–2025
