Deep crimson. Lifted chinotto, dark cherry, blackberry aromas with mocha notes. Fresh persistent black cherry, dark plum, blackberry fruits, fine chalky/sinewy textures, attractive inky complexity and underlying roasted walnut, vanilla notes. Finishes claret-firm and long. Should develop and improve with more mid-palate richness and integration of elements with age. Matured in a combination of new (50%) seasoned (25% 3yo & 25% 1yo) French oak hogsheads. Now–2035 St Hugo Signature Collection Shiraz 2018 G 93 Deep colour. Intense dark cherry, graphite, dark chocolate aromas with fragrant herb garden notes. Inky wine with dark cherry/ kirsch raspberry fruits, fine slinky/ chalky loose-knit tannins, hint ferruginous, some vanilla marzipan notes. Finishes rusty / brambly and long. 50% new French oak. Now–2028 Gatt Wines Old Vine Shiraz 2019 G 93 Medium-deep crimson and a ripe and generous style with layers of mulberry, blackberry pastille and vanilla aromas. Generous, fruit sweet and smooth, it displays plentiful dark berry flavours, vanilla oak complexity and fresh smooth velvety textures before finishing chocolaty with fresh long mineral acidity. A showcase wine. Now–2028 Head Wines Wilton Hill Shiraz 2020 G 93 Deep in colour and opens with very expressive blueberry, raspberry, cassis and ginger spice aromas with attractive bush garrigue lift. Smooth, fruit driven and buoyant with raspberry pastille, cassis flavours backed by fine loose-knit chalky textures and attractive juicy acidity before finishing chocolaty firm and savoury. Now–2030 Hutton Vale Farm Shiraz 2018 G 93 Medium-deep colour in colour, this is a quite a bold example of Eden Valley Shiraz with intense blackberry pastille and prune aromas lifted by attractive savoury earthy complexity. Richly flavoured, it dispalys ripe blackberry, dried plum and stone fruits with fine chalky/ chocolaty textures and savoury oak notes. Finishes chocolaty and crisp, and just a touch overripe. Now–2028
