Medium-deep crimson. Black cherry, dark plum, mulberry espresso aromas with herb garden aniseed notes. Richly flavoured and textured wine with ample dark plum, mulberry roasted coffee, mocha flavours and persistent grainy/ al dente tannins. Finishes bitter firm with plentiful sweet dark berry fruits/ chinotto notes. Now–2028 After Five Wine Co Serata Shiraz Montepulciano Aglianico 2019 G 94 Deep colour. Intense dark cherry, black plum, dark chocolate aromas with herb garden notes. Attractive choco-berry, liquorice/ aniseed flavours with loose-knit, almost ferruginous tannins and underlying savoury notes. Finishes chocolaty firm with plentiful dark fruits. Very well-balanced wine with a fresh vigorous structure. Now–2028 Kalleske Wines JMK Shiraz Vintage Port 2021 G 94 Opaque colour and a very expressive Vintage Port style with intense blackstrap liquorice, blackcurrant, dark plum, graphite aromas providing impressive complexity. Richly flavoured and densely packed with ample dark berry fruits and liquorice complexity well matched to fine chalky/ graphite textures and balanced sweetness, it finishes long and strong with aniseed bittersweet notes, suggesting a long life ahead. Now–2040 St Hallett Higher Earth Syrah 2018 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Fresh pure blackberry, boysenberry, sage aromas with vanilla, mocha notes. Inky deep with ample blackberry pastille, boysenberry raspberry fruits, fine loose-knit supple tannins and integrated vanilla, mocha notes. Builds up to a firm vigorous finish with liquorice aniseed notes. Lovely juxtaposition between buoyant sweet fruit and savoury textures. Now–2030 Max & Me Estate Grown Syrah 2018 G 94 Deep crimson and beautifully complex with intense fragrant black cherry, mulberry and strawberry aromas with graphite, cacao complexity. Beautifully balanced and supple, it displays plentiful black cherry, blackberry, strawberry fruit flavours with a fine loose-knit chalky texture and fresh long acidity. Refined and elegant. Now–2030
