Sweet red and black cherry flavours follow in a full-bodied style with fine chocolaty tannins well balanced with marzipan, vanilla roasted chestnut notes to finish. Already delicious and with significant ageing potential. Now–2032 Soul Growers Single Vineyard Hampel Shiraz 2018 G 94 Deep crimson. A big and volutuous Barossan with fresh dark cherry, blackberry, liquorice, mocha aromas and flavours. Beautifully smooth and velvety textured, the palate displays lovely dark cherry, blackberry, mocha flavours, fine velvety textures and underlying inky complexity with beautiful oak maturation characters well integrated. Now–2034 Wolf Blass Platinum Label Medlands Estate Shiraz 2018 G 94 Deep crimson. A fine and highly detailed wine with powerful black cherry, black olive and liquorice aromas with grilled nut oak complexity. Generous black cherry, plum and black olive flavours are then underpinned by layers of fine sinewy/ graphite tannins and mocha, toasty oak notes before a claret-firm and minerally long finish. 2024–2034 Yalumba Paradox Shiraz 2018 G 94 Deep crimson and a powerful yet understated wine with lifted boysenberry, blackberry, cassis, white pepper and camomile aromas. The palate is then seductive and fleshy with glossy boysenberry, blackberry and blackcurrant fruit aromas, fine grippy textures, lovely viscosity and mineral length.
