Hemera Estate Limited Release Marananga Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

G 94

Deep crimson, this is sweet-fruited style with black cherry, black olive, dark chocolate aromas and flavours underpinned by fine slinky/ grainy textures and underlying mocha/ vanilla oak before opening up on the finish with well integrated, fine acidity. Now–2030 Soul Growers El Mejor Cabernet Mataro Shiraz 2019 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Intense blackberry, dark chocolate and mocha aromas with lovely shellac, herb garden lift. Generous and supple on the palate with plentiful evolved dark berry fruits, fine chocolaty, graphite textures and lovely mocha, roasted walnut, chestnut oak notes before finishing chocolaty firm. An excellent wine with cabernet characters giving aromatic complexity and torque. Now–2030 Medium-deep crimson in colour, this wine is built for the cellar with intense blackcurrant, black olive tapenade, leafy aromas with praline, mocha sweet oak. Richly concentrated and velvety textured, it has abundant dark berry fruits, inky complexity and mocha, dark chocolate flavours before finishing firm and minerally. This has the balance and concentration to age and should show better with time in the bottle. 2025–2038 Maverick Barossa Ridge Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 G 93 Wolf Blass The Master Cabernet Shiraz 2018 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Intense and perfumed dark cherry/ kirsch, blackcurrant with some violet, musky notes. An attractive juicy early to medium term claret style. Now–2026 Dandelion Vineyards Lion’s Roar of the Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 G 93 Deeply coloured and immediately displays expressive blackcurrant, choco-mint aromas. The palate is then generous and supple with more blackcurrant, choco-berry fruits, herb garden/ bush garrigue notes, fine grippy tannins and toasted/ vanilla oak complexity before finishing muscular firm, providing good ageing potential.
