Intense black cherry, strawberry, aniseed aromas with roasted walnut complexity. Generous and flavourful wine with ample black cherry, strawberry fruits, plentiful chalky textures and underlying savoury notes. Lovely density and persistent juicy acidity. Drinking well. 14.5% alc Coriole Grenache 2021 Grenache $46 G 95 Medium deep crimson. Attractive strawberry, red cherry, Parma violet aromas with savoury notes. Well-concentrated strawberry pastille, red cherry fruits, fine chalky textures, very good mid-palate viscosity and mineral length. Archetypal McLaren Vale Grenache that is drinking beautifully. Drink now–2028 14.4% alc Dandelion Vineyards Faraway Tree of McLaren Vale 2021 Grenache $120 G 95 Medium deep crimson. Herb garden negroni, strawberry, red cherry aromas. Well concentrated and classical in style with strawberry negroni- like flavours, superb mid-palate viscosity, some stone fruit notes and lacy/ chalky tannins. Finishes al dente firm with stalky complexity. Stylish and different. Drink 2024–2030 14.3% alc Gemtree Wines The Phantom Red Blend Eleven 2020 Grenache Mataro $60 G 95 Medium crimson. Minerally red currant red cherry aroma with flinty, hint graphite notes. Well-concentrated and complex wine with generous inky red currant, musky plum fruits, loose knit slinky textures, very good mid-palate viscosity and integrated fresh acidity with a brush of tannins at the finish.
