Medium deep crimson. Lifted dried roses strawberry graphite aromas with hint musky notes. Well-balanced wine with voluminous strawberry raspberry, musky plum fruits, fine loose knit chalky textures, superb mid-palate density and integrated mineral acidity. Superb layered wine with wonderful fruit complexity and energy. Drink now–2034 14.5% alc Yangarra High Sands 2020 Grenache $250 G 97 Medium crimson. Dried roses, strawberry apricot nectarine aromas with hints of sesame, roasted walnut. Beautiful strawberry apricot, hint raspberry pastille flavours, fine loose knit chalky tannins with al dente textures and beautiful quartz-like acidity finishing with a feathery plume. Very minerally with lovely fruit complexity and torque. Drink now–2040 14.5% alc Yangarra Hickinbotham 2020 Grenache $76 G 97 Medium deep crimson. Medium-powered wine with redcurrant, raspberry, blueberry aromas with flinty complexity. Sweet fruited palate with strawberry, red currant, raspberry pastille fruits, fine lacy tannins, some good mid-palate viscosity with a touch of mocha and integrated acidity before finishing gravelly firm. Drink 2024–2032 13.5% alc Bekkers 2020 Grenache $90 G 96 Medium crimson. Attractive raspberry, strawberry fruits with hints of graphite/ herb garden. Elegant, silky textured and supple with lovely pure raspberry pastille, red plum, strawberry fruits, persistent fine lacy tannins, lovely mid-palate viscosity, underlying savoury notes and fresh crunchy/ mineral acidity. All the elements fold into each other very well before finishing long and juicy. A beautiful primary McLaren Vale Grenache based on Blewitt Springs and Kangarilla vineyard sites that should develop well. Drink now–2028 14.5% alc SC Pannell Old McDonald 2020 Grenache $70 G 96 Medium deep colour. Classical musky red plum, strawberry aromas. Well-concentrated and animated wine with ample red plum, strawberry fruits, lovely slinky tannins and persistent refreshing acidity. Beautifully balanced and refined wine with lovely fruit complexity, mid-palate viscosity, volume and mineral length. Drink now–2032 14% alc
