Deep crimson. Complex dark berry, roasted chestnut aromas with lovely wax polish, tobacco leaf notes. Supple and round with abundant choco-berry fruits, fine loose knit chocolaty/ al-dente firm tannins and attractive marzipan, roasted chestnut, panforte complexity. Lovely density, complexity and mineral length. Drink now–2032 14.5% alc Battle of Bosworth Braden’s Single Vineyard 2017 Shiraz $45 G 94 Medium deep crimson. Intense black cherry, blackberry, hint peat aromas with rusty, herb garden notes. Concentrated and inky deep with complex black cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate flavours, underlying peat, roasted walnut notes and persistent fine al-dente firm tannins. Finishes gravelly with ferric notes. A delicious Reynell selection Shiraz. Drink now–2028 14.5% alc Bec Hardy Wines Pertaringa Undercover 2021 Shiraz $26 G 94 Deep colour. Intense blackberry espresso aromas with chinotto/ roasted walnut notes. Fresh blackberry pastille, raspberry fruits, fine loose knit chalky textures, very good mid-palate volume and integrated savoury/ roasted walnut/ vanilla complexity. Finishes chalky and minerally with polished winemaking on display. Drink now–2028 14.5% alc Doc Adams Wines Single Vineyard 2020 Shiraz $50 G 94 Deep crimson. Expressive dark berry, mocha, hint cedar aromas. Richly flavoured with ample blackberry, black cherry, raspberry fruits, fine chocolaty tannins, attractive mid-palate density and plentiful mocha/ cedar oak notes. Finishes chewy with very good mineral length. Drink now–2030 14.6% alc Fox Creek Wines Old Vine 2020 Shiraz $68 G 94 Deep crimson. Sweet blackcurrant pastille aromas with mocha/ dark chocolate notes. Velvety and smooth with ample blackcurrant, blackberry, mulberry fruits, fine, dense chalky textures, underlying dark chocolate, mocha, hint marzipan notes. Nice juxtaposition between fruit sweetness and savoury structure. Drink now–keep for a while 14.5% alc
