Beautifully concentrated wine with dark berry fruits, fine graphite firm tannins and underlying savoury/ vanilla/ toasty oak complexity. Finishes minerally, long with fruit and oak sure to further integrate over time. Drink now–2032 14.5% alc Vintage Longbottom Henry’s Drive Magnus 2019 Shiraz $85 G 95 Medium deep crimson. Brambly dark cherry, blackberry aromas with bush garrigue notes. Well-balanced wine with dark cherry, blackberry, liquorice flavours, fine grainy/ chalky dry tannins, attractive mid-palate volume and fresh long juicy acidity. Vigorous and animated wine with very good volume and length. Drink now–2030 14.4% alc Dandelion Vineyards Firehawk of McLaren Vale 2020 Shiraz $60 G 94+ Deep crimson. Dark chocolate, black cherry aromas with espresso/ hint cedar notes. Well-concentrated dark chocolate, blackberry, black cherry fruits, fine chocolaty firm, hint ferruginous textures, lovely mid-palate volume and persistent fresh acidity. Finishes walnutty and tight. A classical McLaren Vale style that should develop further. Drink now– 2030 14.5% alc Dandelion Vineyards Moonrise Kingdom of McLaren Vale 2021 G 94+ Shiraz Grenache Petite Sirah $120 Deep crimson. Black cherry, blackberry pastille, dark chocolate aromas with liquorice notes. Velvety and sweet-fruited with voluminous pure black cherry, blackberry pastille fruit, attractive inky density and persistent gravelly tannins leading to a minerally/ ferruginous finish. Impressively concentrated and animated wine. Drink now–2028 14.5% alc Mr Riggs The Chap McLaren Coonawarra 2017 $100 Shiraz Cabernet G 94+ Medium deep crimson. Intense cassis, blackberry, liquorice all sorts aromas with mocha/ espresso notes. Classic dark chocolate dark berry mocha/ liquorice allsorts flavours, chocolaty/ grainy tannins, some cedar/ leafy complexity, lovely inky density and mineral length. Finishes claret firm with generous ripe dark berry fruits and tobacco leaf notes. Drink now–2034 14.5% alc
