Deep crimson. Liquorice, cassis, hint menthol/ bush garrigue aromas. Well-balanced and expressive wine with fresh bright cassis-choc-mint flavours, firm cedar tannins, very good mid-plate volume and fresh long acidity. Now–2027. 13.5% alc Gatt Wines High Eden Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. Dark plum, tobacco leaf aromas with some dark chocolate notes. Developed choco-berry tobacco leaf earthy flavours, supple velvety textures, a core of sweet fruit and well-balanced savoury/ roasted walnut notes. Showing bottle age, but the wine has developed well. Now–2029. 14% alc Hayes Family Wines Primrose Vineyard Cabernet 2021 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. Fresh Blackcurrant, graphite aromas with cedar spice notes. Well-concentrated cassis, blackberry fruits, plentiful grainy firm/ al dente tannins and cedary nuances. Finishes chewy with Parma violet, hint herb/ leafy notes. Very good density and length. Now–2030. 14.5% alc Langmeil Winery Jackaman’s Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 G 93 Deep crimson. Blackcurrant, hint liquorice aromas with herb/ cedar notes. Sinewy but concentrated palate with complex blackcurrant, black olive flavours, cedary/ grippy firm tannins, attractive mid-palate fruit sweetness and persistent crunchy acidity. Finishes firm and tight. Now– 2028. 14.5% alc Purple Hands Wines Planta Circa Ancestor Vine Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 G 93 Deep crimson. Elderberry, blackcurrant leafy aromas with mocha notes. Well-concentrated cedar, black cherry, blackcurrant flavours, firm grippy tannins and underlying mocha/ dark chocolate notes. Chocolaty firm finish with attractive mineral length. Now–2032. 14.5% alc Hare’s Chase Marananga Cabernet Shiraz 2018 G 92 Deep crimson. Black olive, blackcurrant dark chocolate aromas with herb/ forest floor notes. Elegantly styled wine with fresh blackcurrant, praline herb flavours, firm grainy tannins, some tobacco leaf notes and savoury complexity. Finishes chewy firm with graphite notes. Now– 2028. 14% alc
