Richly flavoured wine with ample dark berry fruits, dark chocolate/ praline complexity, underlying toasty oak and fine grainy/ graphite tannins. Finishes firm with flinty. Black olive, pondwater notes. Now–2032. 14.5% alc Eden Hall Wines Springton Shiraz 2021 G 93 Deep crimson. Fresh elderberry, chinotto, ginger aromas. Glossy elderberry, blackberry pastille, fine grainy/ cedary tannins and well- balanced savoury oak notes. Touch flinty at the finish with aniseed notes. Generously concentrated and inky with ample dark cherry, mulberry, dark chocolate flavours, fine grainy/ cedary textures and prominent new oak notes. Finishes claret firm with aniseed/ chinotto notes. 2026–2036. 15.5% alc Gatt Wines Old Vine Shiraz 2016 G 93 Deep crimson. Tobacco, mocha, dark berry aromas with bush garrigue notes. Sweet and savoury wine with plentiful mocha-berry flavours, cedary firm tannins, attractive mid-palate volume and fresh persistent acidity. Some chinotto/ tobacco notes at the finish. Drinking well now.
