Deep colour. Aromatic and spicy with ultra-ripe plum, blackberry, raisin aromas with dark chocolate notes. Generously concentrated wine with deep set dark berry, musky plum/ prune flavours, fine chocolaty textures, very good mid-palate volume, spicy mocha notes and fresh long aniseed line. An ‘appassimento’ style that successfully reflects its origins while offering something different. Now–2028. 15.7% alc Greenock Creek Stone Block Shiraz 2020 G 94 Deep crimson. Intense blackberry jam, mulberry inky aromas with savoury/ minerally/ chinotto notes. Blackberry, mulberry fruits, fine minerally textures, juicy acidity and underlying chinotto, roasted walnut, dark chocolate notes. Finishes chalky firm and minerally long. Modern glossy bistro style. Now–2030. 15.5% alc Krondorf 2021 Old Salem Shiraz G 93+ Deep colour. Intense dark cherry, blackberry, elderberry, dark chocolate, ginger/cedar, hint liquorice aromas with chinotto notes. Richly concentrated dark berry fruits, fine chocolate textures and fresh cedar/ mocha oak notes. Finishes chocolaty and long. Vivid, concentrated and elemental. Fresh and expressive wine with lifted black cherry, chinotto aromas and flavours with savoury nuances, inky density and fine-grained tannins. Finishes cedary firm. Richly flavoured wine with inky smooth blackberry. boysenberry, raspberry pastille fruits, fine velvety textures and fresh long crisp acidity. Finishes grainy firm and minerally. Now–2027. 14.4% alc Thistledown Wines Where Eagle’s Dare Shiraz 2021 G 94 Deep crimson. Fragrant blackberry, plum, dark chocolate aromas with graphite notes. Well-concentrated blackberry, dark plum, black cherry fruits, fine chalky textures, long juicy acidity and well-balanced savoury complexity. Finishes bittersweet with attractive mineral length. Now– 2034. 14.5% alc St Hallett Higher Earth Syrah 2018 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Fresh pure blackberry, boysenberry, sage aromas with vanilla, mocha notes. Inky deep with ample blackberry pastille, boysenberry raspberry fruits, fine loose-knit supple tannins and integrated vanilla, mocha notes. Builds up to a firm vigorous finish with liquorice aniseed notes. Lovely juxtaposition between buoyant sweet fruit and savoury textures. Now–2030. 14.5% alc Grant Burge Filsell Shiraz 2020 G 94 Deep crimson. Intense ripe blackberry, boysenberry, dark chocolate aromas with hints of aniseed. A classic claret style with ample blackberry, boysenberry, mulberry, cassis fruits, fine chalky/ al dente tannins and underlying mocha notes. Finishes grippy/ cedary firm with a long inky/ minerally plume. A very expressive wine with lovely fruit clarity and restrained power. Now–2028. 14.5% alc
