Deep crimson. Fresh dark berry, black olive, touch coffee-like aromas with herb notes. Concentrated choco-berry fruits, fine grained, slightly sinewy tannins and underlying savoury notes. Finishes grippy and minerally. Now–2034 Kaesler Wines Alte Reben Shiraz 2024 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. Red cherry, raspberry fruits with roasted walnut, vanilla notes. Medium-bodied wine with red cherry, red liquorice fruits, loose-knit, chalky textures, attractive mid-palate viscosity and underlying savoury notes. Vanilla and marzipan at the finish. Now–2036 Kaesler Wines WOMS Shiraz 66%, Cabernet Sauvignon 34% 2024 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. Cassis, black cherry aromas with pronounced vanilla cedar notes. Medium-bodied and quite sturdy in structure with ample black cherry, blackcurrant fruits, fine-grained textures and a dollop of vanilla. The new oak is a touch over-dominant but should settle down. Now–2035 Maverick Barossa Ridge Shiraz 2023 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. Attractive blackberry, chinotto aromas with hint of herbs and sage. Supple and smooth in structure with ample blackberry pastille, raspberry, cola fruits, slinky textures and underlying mineral acidity. Some leafy notes emerging at the finish. But, overall, well- balanced with medium-bodied weight. Now–2035 Mirus Vineyards Block 5 Sand Hill Shiraz 2024 G 93 Deep crimson. Inky blackcurrant praline aromas with hints of molasses/ roasted coffee. Densely concentrated and sturdy with ample dark berry fruits, velvety textures and married oak. Finishes chocolaty with aniseed, hint leafy notes. A big wine, but fresh and mineralised with a pure acid line. 2028–2038 Murray Street Aria Shiraz 2022 G 93 Purple crimson. Deep and richly fruited style that taps into the historic shiraz style of the region with its mix of blackberry, plum, dried fruits, earth, chocolate and barbecue woodsmoke aromas. Full-bodied, warm in texture and sustained in smoky, toasty, earthy flavours married to ripe berry fruits, chocolate, blackstrap liquorice and spice with hints of menthol on pleasingly ripe tannins. Richly detailed. Now–2037
