Deep crimson. Dark chocolate, blackberry aromas with roasted walnut, hint marzipan notes. Inky-deep and fruit sweet with concentrated blackberry, black cherry fruits, chocolaty tannins, high-pitched acidity and underlying marzipan notes. Finishes firm with aniseed notes. Now–2034 Eden Hall Block 4 Shiraz 2023 G 92 Medium-deepish crimson. Red cherry, cola aromas with hints of graphite and dark chocolate. Sweet red cherry, redcurrant, strawberry parma violet flavours, fine slinky textures and juicy long acidity. Medium- powered and elegant with attractive pure red fruits. Now–2030 Gibson Wines The Prospect Shiraz, Montepulciano 2023 G 92 Deep purple-crimson. Lovely lifted aromatics to the fore with black cherry, plum, black berries, liquorice, pepper and background earthiness amid a lively spiciness. Tannins are supple and soft and there’s a nice density of youthful, plush fruit that carries through. Good drinking right now. Now–2031 Golden Amrita Single Estate Shiraz 2020 G 92 Deep crimson. Concentrated liquorice, chinotto, dark berry aromas with smoky notes. Concentrated, smooth and velvety with ultra ripe dark berry dark chocolate flavours, supple tannins and ample marzipan, hint smoky notes. Finishes chocolaty firm with some crisp acidity and aniseed notes emerging. A big wine with the elements still to fold. Now–2040 Hare’s Chase Vigilance Shiraz 2022 G 92 Deep crimson. Intense liquorice and blackberries with dark chocolate mocha notes. Velvety smooth with ample choco-berry fruits, supple ripe tannins and noticeable mineral acidity. A hint of wax polish at the finish. Now–2036 Heathvale Wines Garden of Promise Shiraz 2023 G 92 Deep crimson. Blackberry, black pepper aromas with bush garrigue/sage notes. Medium-powered with attractive blackberry, black pepper, hint Turkish Delight flavours, fine crispy tannins and underlying savoury notes. Chalky/chewy finish. Now–2034
