Intense dark plum, ginger, panforte, dark chocolate aromas with spicy notes. Buoyant and fresh with dense saturated dark plum, blackberry fruits, attractive mid-palate volume, some leafy sappy notes and plentiful mocha, cinnamon oak notes. Very generous and chocolaty – reminiscent of the Parker era. Now–2038 Greenock Creek Wines Seven Acre Shiraz 2023 G 93 Deep crimson. Black olive smoked charcuterie, panforte aromas with hints of bush garrigue. Generously proportioned with ample dark berry fruits, black olive notes, chocolaty/velveteen textures and balanced mocha oak notes. Meaty complexity gives the wine individuality and presence. Some herbal notes at the finish. Now–2036 Hayes Family Wines Renshaw Marananga Shiraz 2024 G 93 Deep crimson. Dark desiccated plum, blackberry pastille, praline, roasted hazelnut aromas. Massively concentrated dark berry fruits, some prune/molasses notes, chocolaty textures, lovely mid-palate generosity and inky/mineral flow. Builds velveteen-firm with roasted nuts, ultra ripe dark berry fruits and liquorice at the finish. 2028–2038 Head Wines ‘Wilton Hill’, Barossa Ranges Shiraz 2024 G 93 Deep crimson. Fragrant raspberry, black cherry, leafy aromas with rose garden/sappy notes. Concentrated raspberry pastille, kirsch flavours, fine bittersweet tannins and underlying savoury notes. Sappy leafy finish with some peppery notes. A cool expression of shiraz. Now Henschke The Wheelwright Shiraz 2022 G 93 Deep crimson. Attractive lifted red cherry, raspberry with bush garrigue, hint capsicum/peppercorn aromas. Generous and smooth with red cherry, raspberry, capsicum, touch dark chocolate flavours, fine dense chalky/grippy firm tannins, underlying marzipan notes and fresh long juicy acidity. Still youthful but showing promise. 1968 plantings (38 years – Old Vine). Matured for 20 months in 10% new and 90% seasoned French oak hogsheads. 14.5% alc Now–2033
