Deep crimson. Lifted black cherry, touch ferruginous, varnishy aromas with dark chocolate notes. Tightly structured yet fleshy wine with plentiful choco-berry fruits, grainy/sinewy/muscular textures and attractive mocha notes. Builds firm at the finish. Needs more time to reveal itself. Now–2038 Hentley Farm H-Block Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon 2024 G 93+ Deep crimson. Exotic musky plum, Turkish Delight, dark chocolate, spicy aromas. Richly flavoured musky, plummy, blackberry fruits, Turkish Delight, touch sweet confectionary notes, persistent gravelly tannins and pronounced marzipan, toasty nuances. A potpourri of flavours. Slightly grippy finish, the oak and grape tannins at loggerheads. 2028–2038 Arila Gardens Single Vineyard Shiraz 2024 G 93 Deep crimson. Fresh dark plum, cassis, minty aromas with hints of dark chocolate. Medium-bodied with dark plum, cassis, mulberry fruits, loose-knit chalky/graphite tannins and some roasted walnut notes. Minty bush garrigue notes emerge at the finish. Now–2038 Barossa Boy Happy as Lenny Syrah 2023 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. Fragrant raspberry pastille, white pepper aromas with herb garden notes. Fresh and buoyant with attractive red berry fruits, slinky textures, very good mid-palate viscosity and fresh long acidity. A cooler Barossa expression with very good volume and mineral length. Now–2032 Barritt Vineyards Walter Shiraz 2023 G 93 Deep crimson. Fresh black cherry dark plum, chocolaty aromas with walnutty notes. Inky-deep black cherry, dark plum, praline flavours, bittersweet chocolaty tannins and underlying walnutty notes. Finishes brambly firm and juicy. Now–2036 Bethany Wines Blue Quarry Bethanien South Shiraz 2024 G 93 Dark crimson. Dark cherry, blueberry, black cherry mocha aromas with cedar notes. Concentrated and juicy with fresh red and dark cherry, mulberry fruits and supple tannins. Brambly finish. Fresh and buoyant with underlying crispy acidity. Now–2034
