Brimming in ripe red berries and fruits with darker fruit background aromas, compelling spice, cocoa and earth. Immediately approachable and easy to get to know. Settling in against a core of juicy, ripe tannins, plummy sweet fruits rise with red liquorice, violet florals and hints of musk. Nicely weighted and deceptively sturdy. Now–2034 Henschke Tappa Pass Shiraz 2023 G 94 Medium deep crimson. Blackberry, brambly aromas with liquorice notes. Silky/velvety in texture with ample ripe dark berry fruits, some bittersweet/chinotto notes, supple tannins and well-integrated roasted chestnut/walnut/black olive nuances. Builds up leafy/al dente firm at the finish. 70-year vines. 60% Barossa Valley, 40% Eden Valley. 17 months maturation in new (10%) and seasoned French oak hogsheads. 14.5% alc Now–2038+ Hentley Farm The Beast Shiraz 2024 G 94 Deep crimson. Dark chocolate, dark berry aromas with wax polish, chinotto notes. Inky-deep with plentiful choco-berry flavours, grainy/ leafy firm tannins and cedary notes. Finishes claret-firm and oaky with persistent sweet fruit/aniseed notes. 2028–2040 Jenke Vineyards Family Icon Shiraz 2020 G 94 Deep crimson. Attractive blackberry pastille, marzipan aromas with roasted chestnut notes. Inky-deep and supple with blackberry, spice, mocha, hint panforte flavours, fine dense chalky textures and underlying savoury notes. Finishes peppery and crisp. Now–2036 John Duval Wines Entity Shiraz 2024 G 94 Deep crimson. Lifted ground coffee, black cherry, black berry aromas with some dark chocolate notes. Inky-deep and oak-driven with marzipan, touch cedar characters sitting slightly on top of the pure dark berry fruits. Finishes chocolaty with a peppery note.
