Deep crimson. Fresh black cherry, graphite, ferric aromas with bitter dark chocolate notes. Inky-deep black cherry, dark chocolate, attractive mid-palate buoyancy and underpinning ferruginous/graphite tannins. Finishes claret firm with liquorice notes. Very good volume and flow. Around 98% shiraz, 2% roussanne (2022 shiraz on 1988 plantings) Now– 2036 Torbreck Woodcutter’s Shiraz 2024 G 94 Deep crimson. Intense black cherry, dark plum aromas with dark chocolate liquorice notes. Beautifully concentrated black cherry, dark plum, touch marzipan flavours, chocolaty firm tannins and integrated roasted walnut notes. Finishes firm and juicy fruited with liquorice notes. All points of the compass Barossa Valley wine – north, west, south, east. Now–2034 Whistler Wines Atypical Shiraz 2025 G 94 Medium crimson. Raspberry, redcurrant, blueberry aromas with lifted flinty notes. Exuberant and fruit-driven with abundant pure red and blue berry fruits, attractive mid-palate richness and underlying lacy tannins. Early drinking bistro style. Delicious. Now–soon Yelland & Papps Single Vineyard Stone Well Syrah Shiraz 2025 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Fragrant musky plum, raspberry pastille, with roasted walnut/toffee notes. Buoyant and fresh with attractive sweet musky dark plum, raspberry, hint strawberry fruits, light chocolaty textures and balanced mineral acidity. Some peppery notes at the finish. Now–2035 Grant Burge Filsell Shiraz 2024 G 93+ Deep crimson. Black cherry, blackberry aromas with minty hint leafy notes. Richly concentrated with black cherry, blackberry, blackstrap liquorice flavours and plentiful chocolaty tannins. Velvety finish with minty aniseed notes. Now–2035
