Some bush garrigue notes at the finish. Now–2035 Soul Growers Hampel Single Vineyard Shiraz 2024 G 94 Deep crimson. Intense blackberry, dark chocolate, marzipan, vanilla aromas. Sturdy and concentrated with blackberry, raspberry, praline flavours, dense loose-knit chalky textures and underlying savoury notes. Finishes cedar firm and minerally with vanilla marzipan nuances. Now–2038 Spinifex Wines Moppa Shiraz 2022 G 94 Deep crimson. Fragrant blackberry roasted chestnut, marzipan aromas with grilled nuts and spice. Inky and smooth with fresh blackberry pastille, mocha, roasted chestnut flavours, slinky tannins and balanced marzipan, touch wax polish notes. Brambly firm finish. Now–2035 Thistledown Wines Where Eagles Dare Shiraz 2024 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Fresh sappy, dark cherry, raspberry pastille, hint strawberry aromas with hints of chinotto, sage and spice. Inky textured and smooth with attractive black and red berry fruits, supple fine al dente tannins, lovely mid-palate viscosity and fresh mineral, touch saline notes. Builds to a firm-ish finish. Steers from the mainstream, but still in touch. Now–2040 Thorn-Clarke Wines Shotfire Shiraz 2022 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Elderberry, black cherry, praline aromas with hint marzipan notes. Sweet blackberry, mulberry fruits, chocolaty firm textures and balanced marzipan notes. Firm grippy tannins at the finish. Very good density, vinosity and flow. Now–2038 Torbreck The Gask Shiraz 2024 G 94 Deep crimson. Intense black cherry, black olive, liquorice aromas. Very deep black cherry, black olive, cedary flavours, attractive mid-palate concentration and chocolaty/muscular tannins. Finishes flinty/graphite firm and tight. Now–2035
