Deep crimson. Blackberry, musky plum, graphite, smoky/incense aromas. Generously concentrated, velvety and tangy with ample blackberry, plum, praline, panforte flavours and underlying smoky/ roasted almond, vanilla notes. Finishes chocolaty firm and long with a graphite plume. Pretty good. Now–2042 Laughing Jack Wines Limited Two Shiraz 2022 G 95 Deep crimson. Intense blackberry, Americano/chinotto aromas. Concentrated blackberry jam/juicy raspberry, choco flavours, dense chalky tannins and integrated roasted chestnut, marzipan notes. Finishes chocolaty with hints of liquorice and spice. Now–2036 Maverick Paulsen Shiraz 2023 G 95 Deep crimson. Lifted dark plum raspberry dark chocolate hint sesame aromas with espresso notes. Medium-powered on the palate with ample raspberry pastille musky dark plum flavours, loose-knit chalky tannins and underlying roasted walnut notes. Some peppery notes pervade through the palate, giving it an intriguing complexity. Now–2035 Mirus Vineyards Wonderground Shiraz 2024 G 95 Deep crimson. Attractive raspberry pastille, aniseed aromas with some perfumed leafy/floral notes. Concentrated and juicy with ample ripe raspberry fruits, kirsch liqueur-like notes very good mid-palate richness/ buoyancy and persistent juicy vibrant acidity. Fruit-driven, exuberant and joyful. Not a keeper; drink it now. Now–soon Paulmara Estates Aristotle Shiraz 2023 G 95 Deep crimson. Inky dark plum, praline aromas with espresso, marzipan notes. Substantial palate with deep-set panforte dark berry fruit, supple, touch muscular/ferric tannins, super mid-palate viscosity and underlying marzipan, roasted hazelnut notes. Claret-firm finish. Power and finesse. Now–2042
