Deep crimson. Fresh dark cherry, chinotto aromas with graphite notes. Concentrated and balanced palate with pure dark cherry, hint musky plum, chinotto flavours, fine chalky tannins, very good mid-palate volume and integrated toasted almond, marzipan notes. Builds muscular firm and tight at the finish. Some more years to unravel, but generous and vigorous. 2028–2040 Head Wines ‘The Contrarian’, Eden Valley Shiraz 2025 G 95 Deep crimson. Attractive black cherry, praline aromas with herb garden notes. Beautifully concentrated and slinky in texture with ample choco-berry fruits, some meaty complexity and plentiful gravelly/ graphite tannins. Builds up chewy at the finish with excellent length of flavour. 2028–2040 Hentley Farm The Beauty Shiraz 2024 G 95 Deep crimson. Intense blackberry, dark plum aromas with mocha notes. Supple and velvety in textures with dark plum, blackberry apricot flavours and velvety textures. Finishes firm, tight and juicy. Generously portioned and fruit driven, but excellent weight and balance. Now– 2035 Hobbs of Barossa Ranges Tin Lids Aria Secca Shiraz 2024 G 95 Deep crimson. Attractive panforte, ripe plum, praline, liquorice aromas. Deeply concentrated yet lithe in structure with ample panforte/ Christmas cake, dark chocolate, liquorice, hint rum and raisin flavours, fine dense chalky tannins and underlying wax varnish notes. Finishes firm and crispy tight. Now–2036 John Duval Wines Plexus Shiraz 42%, Grenache 37%, Mourvèdre 19% 2024 G 95 Bright crimson. Full of charm and bright, vibrant fruits. Cherry, plum, black fruits threaded in anise, cocoa, peppery spices. Smooth textural flow across the palate, medium in weight and alive in perky, bright acidity. So much to enjoy right now and into the future. Energy plus. Now–2034
