Deep crimson. Dark chocolate, cassis, grilled almond aromas with herb garden notes. Concentrated pure blackcurrant, damson plum, praline flavours, densely compact fine grained/cedar tannins and well balanced roasted chestnut notes. Leafy/chocolaty firm at the finish. Still in its elemental phase, but very good density and flow. Should develop very well. 16 months in American oak hogsheads. Coonawarra, Barossa Valley, Padthaway. Drink 2028 – 2055. 14.5% alc Elderton Ashmead Cabernet Sauvignon 2024 G 95 Medium-deep crimson. Intense cassis, herb garden aromas with chinotto notes. Concentrated and classical in structure with cassis fruit and plentiful fine-grained/vigorous tannins. Some underlying savoury notes. Claret-firm finish. Very natural and elegantly styled wine, where less is more. 1944-planted cabernet vines. Now–2040
