Medium crimson. Intense musky plum, hint minty aromas with herb garden, violet notes. Attractive sweet red berry fruits, fine lacy/ chalky tannins and fresh integrated acidity. Builds up firm and minerally at the finish with raspberry, roasted chestnut notes. Fruit sweet and savoury wine with nice energy and presence. From 1901 & 1906 grenache vines. Now–2027 Cirillo Estate The Vincent Grenache 2021 G 94 Medium colour. Intense raspberry, red plum, ginger crackle, spice notes. Very concentrated and juicy wine with plentiful raspberry, musky plum, tarry, ginger flavours, fine slinky tannins and underlying roasted walnut notes, Finishes chalky with fresh long acidity. Now–2026 Eperosa Magnolia 1950 Grenache 2020 G 94 Medium crimson. Fragrant musky red plum, strawberry, Campari aromas with aniseed notes. Well balanced and classical in style with fresh strawberry, red cherry, red plum flavours, fine lacy textures, mid-palate suppleness and persistent juicy acidity. Finishes chalky with very good Medium-deep colour. Developed roasted walnut, red cherry aromas with graphite notes. Well concentrated and velvety smooth with persistent sweet red cherry, redcurrant, roasted walnut, hint tobacco flavours, lovely overall density and fresh long pronounced acidity. Builds up cedary firm at the finish. Generous, complex and vigorous. Now–2026 Kellermeister Whiskers Single Vineyard Grenache 2019 G 94 Medium-deep crimson. Plum, dark chocolate, red liquorice aromas with roasted walnut notes. Well concentrated dark plum, dark chocolate fruits, fine plentiful chalky tannins, attractive inky density and underlying savoury/ roasted walnut oak. Finishes firm with some aniseed, red liquorice notes. Fresh and complex with all the elements folding into each other nicely. A retro modern maturation style. Drinking well now but should keep.
