Medium-deep colour. Intense raspberry, strawberry, cranberry aromas with hints of chinotto. Generous and supple with plentiful sweet red fruits, attractive mid-palate volume and linear fresh acidity, Finishes chalky dry with juicy raspberry notes. Very expressive fruit-driven wine with lovely mineral length. A classic Barossa Grenache. Now–2026 Thistledown Charming Man Grenache 2021 G 95 Medium-deep crimson. Fresh and intense strawberry, red cherry, red liquorice aromas. Generously flavoured wine with ample strawberry, red cherry, redcurrant fruits, brambly/ grippy textures, some earthy notes and fresh, long, high-pitched acidity. Very individual but very good energy and impact. Probably needs some more time to settle down, but the elements are all in balance. Now–2030 Hayes Family Wines Sam’s Grenache 2021 G 95 Medium crimson. Intense dark plum, blackberry, graphite aromas with herb garden aniseed notes. Velvety textured, smooth and richly flavoured, with abundant dark berry fruits and attractive chocolaty/ mocha notes. Finishes chocolaty with aniseed/ liquorice complexity. Now–2030 Head Wines Old Vine Grenache 2020 G 95 Medium-deep crimson. A delightfully savoury example of Barossa Grenache with fresh mulberry, blackberry, dark chocolate, gamy/earthy aromas with dried herb complexity. Fresh buoyant redcurrant, red cherry and mulberry flavours, with fine chalky/ chewy textures, and underlying roasted walnut, praline flavours before a graphite firm finish. Lovely freshness, complexity and texture – exceptional quality. Now–2035 Langmeil Winery The Fifth Wave Grenache 2020 G 95 Medium-deep crimson. A beautifully fragrant style with intense dark cherry, praline, herb garden aromas lifted by earth and leather complexity. Well-concentrated dark cherry, praline and herb garden flavours follow, fine slinky/ chalky textures, lovely mid-palate richness and fresh integrated acidity before finishing minerally fresh. A classic style. Now–2032
