Medium-deep crimson. Brooding and complex thanks to red cherry, cola and developed graphite/ coal-dust aromas. Developed red cherry, cola in quite a sweet fruited style underlined by fine chocolaty and a hint leafy textures plus integrated acidity before finishing with mocha marzipan oak. Now–2026 Orlando Wines Centenary Hill Shiraz 2018 G 95 Deep colour and beautfully approachable, but clearly has good ageing potential thanks to intense blackberry, black cherry and liquorice aromas with oak a touch toasty and in the mocha, vanilla spectrum. Rich and voluminous, there are dense dark berry fruit flavours, fine grainy textures and integrated toasty, vanilla, mocha oak. A chocolaty finish with attractive mineral length provide a pleasing end. 2024–2034 Orlando Wines Centenary Hill Shiraz 2016 G 95 Deep crimson and a mainstream Barossan style thanks to intense blackberry, brambly, slight prune, raisin, mocha aromas with leafy notes. Quite grippy on the palate with blackberry, blackcurrant, graphite flavours well matched with brambly textures and underlying savoury oak with an inky plume at the finish. A sturdy and hearty wine that will improve for a little while yet. Now–2028 Tarrawatta Wines Ambervale Shiraz 2019 G 95 Deep crimson. Intense and muscular dark chocolate, dark berry and liquorice aromas with oak in striong support. Concentrated dark chocolate, blackberry, inky flavours with fine plentiful cedary textures follow, lifted by some chinotto and underlying mocha vanilla complexity. Finishes firm, minerally and shows good ageing potential. Now–2032 The Willows Vineyard Shiraz 2018 G 95 Deep crimson in colour, this well composed shiraz shows intense dark cherry, blackberry and mulberry sweet fruit aromas with marzipan, grilled nut oak complexity. Dense dark cherry and blackcurrant pastille flavours are underpinned by gentle fine chocolaty textures and lovely oak complexity. A classic Barossa style. Now–2028
