Deep crimson. Lovely dark plum dark chocolate aromas with some brambly notes. Velvety smooth wine with fresh supple dark plum, dark chocolate flavours, underlying grilled nut, crème brûlée notes, fine loose- knit gravelly textures and integrated and sinuous acidity. Finishes claret- firm. A classic Barossa Shiraz style. Now–2028 Purple Hands Planta Circa Ancestor Vine Shiraz 2019 G 95 Deep colour. Intense blackberry, panforte, liquorice aromas with Turkish delight notes. Beautifully balanced wine with deepset blackberry, panforte flavours, roasted chestnut, fine velvety textures, lovely mid-palate richness and integrated fresh acidity. A spicy firm finish with marzipan, vanilla notes. A classic Barossa style. From the C1880 “Woodlands Vineyard” near Lyndoch. Now–2035 St Hugo Fabel Vineyard Shiraz 2018 G 95 Deep crimson. Lovely dark cherry, dark plum, blackberry pastille with inky, graphite notes. Lovely dark cherry, saturated blackberry, praline flavours, fine brambly/ cedary textures, and vanilla roasted chestnut notes. Finishes claret-firm and bittersweet. Elemental and vigorous with attractive density and richness of flavour. Should develop very well. 40% new oak (half in puncheons). Now–2030 Hewitson Monopole Shiraz 2019 G 95 Medium-deep crimson. Lifted dark chocolate, mocha panforte, blackberry, black cherry aromas. Well concentrated mocha, dark chocolate, blackberry, black cherry, raspberry fruit, fine chocolaty/ graphite/ bittersweet tannins and fresh long mineral acidity. Finishes chocolaty firm. Now–2032 Bethany Wines East Grounds Shiraz 2019 G 95 Deeply coloured and densely flavoured, it opens with very attractive dark berry, plum, roasted coffee and mocha aromas. It is followed by a fleshy and rich palate full of dark berry flavours and fine chocolaty tannins with underlying roasted chestnut, vanilla and fresh minerally complexity. Now–2040
