Chardonnay 2020 Pale colour. Pear, lime, grapefruit aromas with bisquity/vanilla notes. Ample grapefruit, nectarine, lime fruits, some butterscotch notes, attractive creamy complexity and underlying savoury notes. Al dente at the finish with some crisp acidity. Works very well. 2022–2026 Cherubino G 95 Margaret River Chardonnay 2020 Pale colour. Grapefruit,white peach, gunflint aromas with light marzipan notes. Well balanced wine with lemon glacé, sweet grapefruit flavours, fine loose-knit/lacy textures, very good mid-palate viscosity, some marzipan/vanilla notes and fresh long indelible acidity. Some bittersweet notes. Delicious wine with excellent fruit definition and mineral length. 2022–2026 Howard Park G 95 Allingham 2019 Pale colour. Lovely lemon curd, grapefruit, nectarine aromas with chalky vanilla notes. Well balanced palate with persistent lemon curd, grapefruit, stonefruit flavours, fine lacy/al dente textures, some grilled nut, marzipan notes and underlying new oak complexity Finishes chalky firm and tangy. Very good energy, richness and tension. 2022–2028 Juniper G 95 Cornerstone Wilyabrup Chardonnay 2020 Pale colour. Complex grapefruit, nectarine aromas with waxy, hint marzipan notes. Lovely grapefruit, sweet nectarine fruits, supple creamy textures, very good mid-palate density and intergrated light marzipan/ vanilla notes. Builds up al dente and crisp at the finish. Very appealing minerally style. 2022–2028 McHenry Hohnen G 95 Calgardup Brook Vineyard Chardonnay 2021 Pale colour. Pearskin, grapefruit, nectarine aromas with flinty notes. Creamy and minerally with ample grapefruit, stonefruit, lemon curd fruits, fine chalky, pithy textures, lovely suppleness and integrated grilled nut, vanilla notes. Chalky and minerally at the finish. Very good. 2022–2028
