Deep crimson. Fresh blackberry pastille, mulberry elderberry chinotto aromas with mocha, roasted chestnut aged notes with dried roses, sage herb garden complexity. Beautifully balanced with voluminous blackberry, mulberry, elderberry roasted chestnut flavours, lovely fine grained and loose-knit tannins, superb volume, and integrated acidity. Finishes firm and minerally long. A superb young wine that is destined to become a classic vintage. 2028–2045 2020 Kay Brothers Block 6 Shiraz G 98 Deep crimson. Lovely evocative wine with lifted blackberry, rusty, earthy, mineral aromas with marzipan notes. Generous dark cherry, blackberry fruits, with some earthy, spice notes, fine chalky firm textures and underlying marzipan, vanilla notes. Finishes chewy and long. Superb wine. Now–2034 2021 Penfolds RWT Bin 798 Shiraz G 98 Deep crimson. Lovely blackberry, dark chocolate, praline aromas with mocha, marzipan, vanilla notes. Beautifully concentrated wine with ample blackberry, dark chocolate, roasted chestnut, marzipan flavours, dense chocolaty tannins, superb mid-palate volume and fresh long integrated acidity. Finishes chocolaty with plentiful seductive sweet dark berry fruits and bittersweet notes. Lovely richness, volume and vinosity. Should develop into a classic Penfoldsian Barossa Shiraz. 100% Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 14 months’ maturation in 20% one-year-old seasoned oak and 80% new French oak hogsheads. 2026–2045
