Textured with a stocky tannin bite, more meaty and stalky flavours then emerge, offering a dry, savoury expression that lingers through to the finish. Better with a year or two in the cellar. 2025–2028 2023 Soul Growers The Debutant Counoise Carignan G 90 This fascinating blend of Counoise and Carignan is an early drinking Barossan style done well. Gently fragrant aromas of cherry pip, wild raspberry and cinnamon stick provide an intriguing start before descending into a silky and vibrant palette of liquorice and spice. A supple and lingering finish is the perfect conclusion. Now–2026 2022 Hither & Yon Montepulciano G 90 Deep ruby in colour and fruit forward with lashings of liquorice allsorts, black cherry laced with allspice. Mid weight and chewy with firm tannins and a muscular texture, dark berry/chocolaty fruits gently lingering to finish. Now–2025
