Barossa Boy Risk it for the Biscuit Semillon

Pale colour. Gently aromatic wine opens with lemon curd, white peach, marzipan, cut grass, beeswax hint of green mango. Fresh cutting acidity with appealing minerality on the palate, waxy sweet lemon curd, marzipan, lemongrass and stonefruit. Elegant yet a touch underpowered, the al dente texture is carried by an attractively long finish. 2023–2027. 12% alc Chaffey Bros. Wine Co. SALVIS GRATIA Eden Valley Semillon 2022 G 93 Pale colour. Lifted exotic aromas; lemon curd, papaya, nectarine, tonic water, honey and subtle flinty overlay. Round and expressive with lemon curd, nectarine and tropical fruit notes. Wonderful mid-palate viscosity, creamy/ lacy textures and an appealing honeyed acid line. Delicious now and over the next couple of years. 2023–2026. 13.2% alc Schwarz Wine Co. Meta Grenache Blanc G 92 Pale green gold. Beautifully fragrant, apricot, banana, elderflower and honey richness. Dry and mouth-filling tropical fruits with an al dente texture and high-pitched acidity. Attractive phenolic grip captures a honeyed finish with good length. 2023–2027. 12.6% alc St Hugo Eden Valley Chardonnay 2021 G 92 Pale golden straw. Powerful aromas of crushed nuts, nectarine, and gingery oak. Excellent viscosity, volume of grapefruit, peach fruit with flinty textures and high-pitched acidity followed by a chalky finish.

Pale colour. Intense green lime, lemon curd, grapefruit, leafy, flinty aromas. Richly flavoured wine with lemon curd, grapefruit, tonic water flavours, lovely volume, creamy richness and long fine al dente textures. Finishes crisp and minerally. Very attractive wine. Now–2030. 11.5% alc Cirillo 1850 Semillon 2019 G 95 Pale green gold. Surprisingly youthful with powerful lemongrass and citrus with hints of lanolin. Richly flavoured tonic water, citrus flavours, streamlined with long fine al dente textures. Finishes crisp, minerally and long. Very attractive now and for a while. 2026–2035 Yelland & Papps Single Vineyard Roussanne 2022 G 95 Mid-golden. Exotic and powerful expressive aromas of apricot, honeysuckle, honey, praline aromas with finely tuned French oak. Creamy, expressive flavours of apricot, peach, nectarine, creamy/chalky textures with excellent volume of fruity and length. 2023–2028. 12.9% alc Eden Hall Wines Gruner Veltliner 2021 G 94 Pale green gold. Impressively perfumed, ripe apple, nectarine, lime drops, slatey, white pepper hint of green bean. Richness and concentration of fruit; ripe apple, lemon curd, pepper, candied ginger spice and hint of honey. The palate is then dry and quite savoury before moving into a delicious creamed honey complexity. An expressive wine with an enduring finish. 2023–2027. 12.3% St Hugo Barossa Valley Semillon 2022 G 94 Pale green gold. Surprisingly fragrant for the varietal’s youth, mandarin, orange blossom, lemongrass, lanolin and hint of grass. Stylish palate with mandarin, lemongrass, peach and subtle ginger spice, fresh, indelible acidity and fine al dente chalky texture. Despite its elegance and subtlety, excellent length is an indicator of ageing potential. 2023–2032. 12% alc

2024–2028. 13.0% alc Stage Door Wine Co Stage Door Gruner Veltliner 2022

Pale colour. Aromatic pear drop, yellow apple, lime curd, celery heart, white pepper and hint of orange blossom. Lightweight and juicy with fresh pear, lime curd, crack of white pepper and faint honeyed note. Light creamy-mid palate with al dente texture is kept fresh by youthful acidity. A lovely early drinking example of this varietal. 2023–2025. 13.1% alc
