Juicy and sweet-fruited with ample cassis. Blackberry, black olive flavours, loose-knit chalky/ touch chewy textures and fresh long acidity. Early drinking fruit-driven style. Now–2026. 14.5% alc First Drop Wines ‘Fat of the Land’ Seppeltsfield Shiraz 2018 G 91 Deep crimson. Developing blackberry, mocha, hint tobacco/ bourbon aromas with earthy notes. Well-concentrated palate with ample blackberry, mulberry, dark plum fruits, fine slinky tannins and underpinning sandalwood/ cedary/ touch coconut oak notes. Finishes oaky and sweet-fruited with liquorice nuances. Now–2028. 15.5% alc HEAD Wines HEAD RED Shiraz 2021 G 91 Medium-deep crimson. Red cherry, raspberry, chinotto, hint graphite aromas and flavours with herb garden notes, fine slinky textures and fresh long mineral acidity. Finishes minerally and long with a touch of aniseed. Sweet fruited wine with plentiful choco-berry flavours, fine chalky tannins, sweet fruit mid-palate and fresh mocha, hint vanilla notes. Builds up firm and tight with crispy acidity. Now–2030 Welland Kreig’s Legacy ‘Valley & Valley’ Shiraz 2022 G 92 Medium deep colour. Attractive blackberry dark plum hint vanilla, espresso aromas. Well-concentrated blackberry, dark plum, mulberry fruits, a hint of black olive, fine loose-knit chalky tannins and underlying savoury oak complexity. Finishes chalky and long.
