G 94

Deep purple-crimson. Delves into ripe, dark-purple fruit, plum, loganberry, dark chocolate, moist earth, sweet oak. Rich, fuller-bodied style featuring controlled oak in leather and sweeping tannins. Big, bold, but also approachable. Now–2037 Thorn-Clarke Wines Single Vineyard Selection Malbec 2024 G 94 Deep crimson. Assured, smooth and textural, and, above all, a warm- hearted example of what the Barossa Valley does so well. Earth, blackberry, blueberry intertwine with herbals of caraway and fennel seed and lifted florals on the aroma. Tailored beautifully to reflect both fruit ripeness, deep spice, aromatic purity and lift on a palate of ripe, earthy tannins. Now–2036 Barritt Vineyards Ringo Zinfandel 2023 G 93 Deep crimson. A big, über rich concentrated wine that goes full-on zinfandel. Aromas of earth, briar, super-ripe fruit, plum, black liquorice, earth, blackberry jam and furniture polish. The palate comes laced in complex, savoury, earthy tannins, one layer of many, fitting between sweet ripe fruit, dark chocolate, blackberry jam, briar, blackstrap liquorice, leather polish. Goes big, goes long. Now–2033 Calabria Family Wines Elisabetta Barossa Durif 2024 G 93 Old school durif style that captures both the grape’s power and its rich depth of flavour. Dark ripe plums, berries, loganberry and woody spices meet Aussie bush notes, cedary oak and blackstrap liquorice on the aroma. Full-bodied and a little controlled by oak, the palate mixes sweeping tannins with a deep richness of fruit, spice, dark chocolate- mocha, and oak. Big and bold, but also approachable. Now–2038
