Purple crimson. Deep and richly fruited style that taps into the historic shiraz style of the region with its mix of blackberry, plum, dried fruits, earth, chocolate and barbecue woodsmoke aromas. Full-bodied, warm in texture and sustained in smoky, toasty, earthy flavours married to ripe berry fruits, chocolate, blackstrap liquorice and spice with hints of menthol on pleasingly ripe tannins. Richly detailed. Now–2037 Orlando Centenary Hill Shiraz 2021 G 93 Deep crimson. Intense dark berry, graphite coal dust with aniseed notes. Attractive blackberry, dark cherry, mocha flavours and chocolaty but slightly sturdy textures. Very good volume, richness and mineral length with graphite/cedar at the finish. Now–2040 Pirathon Wines Silver Label Shiraz 2022 G 93 Deep crimson. Dark berry meaty aromas with dark chocolate notes. Generously concentrated with ample black cherry, dark plum fruits, firm gravelly textures, roasted walnut notes and underlying mineral acidity. Finishes chocolaty and long with some liquorice notes. Now–2036 Schubert Estate Hatchling Marananga Shiraz 2022 G 93 Medium-deep crimson. Attractive mulberry, dark cherry, walnutty, touch creamy chocolate notes. Sweet dark cherry, mulberry fruits, firm chocolaty textures, very good mid-palate richness and integrated acidity. Very attractive wine. Now–2035 Schubert Estate Lone Goose Shiraz, Viognier 2022 G 93 Deep crimson. Attractive blackberry liquorice apricot aromas. Fleshy and concentrated with ample blackberry, apricotty flavours, chalky firm touch al dente textures, voluminous mid-palate, some vanilla notes and fresh long crispy acidity. Finishes gravelly and minerally with exuberant ripe developed fruits. Some liquorice notes. Now–2035 Seppeltsfield Wines ‘The Northing’ Single Vineyard Shiraz 2022 G 93 Deep crimson. Intense dark chocolate, dark berry aromas with herb garden, liquorice notes. Fresh blackberry, praline, malty, chocolaty textures and underlying roasted chestnut notes. Bittersweet finish, with a touch of star anise. Now–2034
