Quiet, almost subdued to start, in citrus, Asian pear, spiced apple, preserved lemon, citrus peel. As it opens, there is a growing complexity and a rising note of baked bread, lanolin against a citrus and spice background. Runs deep as weight and texture gather through to a long finish. Spring blossom, lime zest, citrus, green apple aromas intense and bright. Arrives with an intriguing mineral edginess and brisk acidity with citrus cut and green apple tartness with citrus to the fore. A complex young riesling with a big future. Now– 2033 St Hugo Riesling 2025 G 93 Light-pale lemon. Inviting aromas of citrus blossom, jasmine, red apple, baked apple, citrus, peel and pith. A friendly riesling fulfilling its regional typicity with an easy-flowing floral prettiness across the palate balanced between a gentle acidity. Rises on the middle palate in a lemon curd- like creaminess. Easy-going in nature with a brightness across the palate. Friendly young riesling ready to go. Now–2034 Dewey Station Wines Spring Tide Riesling 2026 G 92 Clear pale lemon. Super zesty youngster full of energy and life. Aromas of cut apple, fresh Asian pear, citrus and honeysuckle. Real cut and thrust across the palate with tart green apple, lemon zest and grapefruit pithiness that bounces bright on almost a laser-like acidity. Super dry, astringent and resoundingly zesty.
