Medium deep crimson. Scented plums, blackberry, touch graphite aromas with herb notes. Well concentrated and beautifully balanced wine with plentiful juicy musky dark plum, blackberry, raspberry fruits, attractive mid-palate richness/buoyancy and fresh minerally/graphite textures. Lovely composition and impact. Fruit driven and spicy with ripe grenache nicely foiled against the torque and frame of mataro. A masterclass in blending. Fab. 60% grenache, 40% mataro. Ten months maturation in new (3%) and seasoned oak hogsheads. Based on 35+ years old vines. 14.5% alc Now–2035 John Duval Wines Annexus Grenache 2024 G 95 Bright purple. A lovely spiciness envelopes this red-fruited grenache which celebrates the varietal intensity of the grape. Cherry, wild raspberry and plums are highlighted in a lively spiciness on the aroma, light florals, musk and wild herbs. Poised and elegant, it comes fully integrated with additional layers of earth, briar and pepperberry, fleshy and bright in acidity and fine-cut tannins. Now–2034 Langmeil Winery The Fifth Wave Grenache 2024 G 95 Bright purple-magenta. An enduring note of red cherry and wild raspberry fruits on an aroma of light florals, musk, earth and briar. Shows a lovely youthful brightness of fruit on the palate brimming in summer berries, cherries, cocoa, spice and regional notes of briary earth. Old vine fruits sing in harmony and meld beautifully with a youthful energy courtesy of fresh, tangy acidity. Closes on a cherry-pip dry finish. Now–2035 Quin Wines Grenache 2023 G 95 Medium crimson red. Lively red berry freshness in red cherry, raspberry, light florals and potpourri scents that flow on to the palate with an added and distinctive layer of earthiness.
