Vinya Vella Old Bush Vine Grenache 2024

G 96

Crimson red. Carries a deep sense of ripe fruits with dark summer berries and earthy threads of oak and spice on the nose, and then comes an astonishing lift of floral aromatics that brighten and reveal the heart and soul of old vine Barossa grenache. Runs straight and true in glorious grenache flavours – black cherry, wild raspberry, plum, pepper, spice, woodsmoke and florals – perky, bright, fresh, with tannins chiming in to close. A pure expression. Now–2032 Cirillo The Vincent Grenache 2025 G 95 Medium-deep crimson. Minerally red plum, red cherry aromas with hints of graphite. Pure red cherry pastille, strawberry, touch red liquorice flavours, slinky textures, lovely mid-palate viscosity and attractive mineral length. Fruit-driven style with excellent vinosity and flow. Earlier drinking style. 1901- and 1906-planted vines. Now–2032 Grant Burge The Holy Trinity Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvèdre 2024 G 95 Dark crimson. Creates the perfect match of ripe and sweet, dark-fruited and red berried, dusty earthiness and black liquorice spiced. The palate moves along with a warming textural richness and deep earthy integrity matched to dark fruits, layers of spice and toasty oak. So rich and warm- hearted across the middle palate and finishing with a lightly peppery spiced elemental lift enlivened by an acidity freshness. Now–2034 Greenock Creek Wines Grenache 2025 G 95 Bright crimson red. Brings a sense of power and aromatic prettiness to the glass with its lifted scents of rose petal, pressed flowers, red berries and savoury influenced smoked meaty notes. The palate abides by the mix of dark berries, earth and spice. Complex and inviting, with some strong ageing yet to be achieved. Now–2034 John Duval Wines Annexus Grenache 2024 G 95 Bright purple. A lovely spiciness envelopes this red-fruited grenache which celebrates the varietal intensity of the grape. Cherry, wild raspberry and plums are highlighted in a lively spiciness on the aroma, light florals, musk and wild herbs. Poised and elegant, it comes fully integrated with additional layers of earth, briar and pepperberry, fleshy and bright in acidity and fine-cut tannins. Now–2034
