Andrew Caillard MW is one of Australia’s leading wine communicators and recently received the Maurice O’Shea Award for his immense service to the Australian wine industry. He is author of several books including Penfolds: The Rewards of Patience (eight editions), Imagining Coonawarra, A Travel Through Time (the history of leading Spanish winery Marques de Riscal) and coauthored educational books Australian Wine , A Taste Around the World of Wine, and The Essence of Dreams (the history of the Mornington Peninsula’s wine industry). His most recent book, The Australian Ark published in 2024, is the definitive history of Australian wine which has won numerous local and international awards.

Jeni Port is one of Australia’s top wine communicators. Based in Melbourne, Jeni created the first wine column in The Sun News-Pictorial before moving to The Age and becoming the paper’s longest-serving wine writer. Over the years, she has written for most Australian wine magazines and these days calls WinePilot home. She is also a tasting panel member on the Halliday Wine Companion . She was named Wine Communicator of the Year and a Legend of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival in 2014 and, in 2018, a Legend of the Vine. She is a founding board member of Australian Women in Wine and co-deputy chair of Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards and China’s Wine List of the Year Awards.
