Medium crimson. Fragrant bouquet of red cherry, red strawberry, baked earth. Bright, fresh and juicy. Attractive buoyancy and lift with good intensity to the finish. Supple tannins to the close. Excellent varietal typicity. Drink now–2029 13.5% alc Henschke Stone Jar Tempranillo 2023 Medium-deep crimson. Fresh sweet redcurrant, red plum with ginger hint chinotto notes. Inky textured and minerally, with lovely juicy red cherry, redcurrant, red plum fruits, hint of nectarine, fine slinky textures, lovely mid-palate viscosity and underlying mineral notes. Vivacious wine with very good flow, fruit definition and vinosity. Not a keeper though. Drink now–keep for a few years. 14% alc Purple Hands Wines After Five Wine Co Aglianico 2021 Medium crimson. Restrained blackberry fruit. Medium-bodied, well- structured and firm with juicy blackberry fruit, good freshness and buoyancy. Tannins are chalky but well managed. Savoury, mouth- watering finish. Drink now–2027 13% alc Atze’s Corner Giant Durif 2021 Deep crimson. Intense choco-berry, brambly aromas with liquorice notes. Generous and deep-set dark chocolate, dark cherry, brambly flavours, bittersweet slightly soupy textures, and fresh indelible acidity. Muscular wine with attractive density and mineral length. Drink now–2028 14.5% alc John Duval Wines Annexus Mataro 2022 Medium-deep crimson. Lifted raspberry, mulberry, dark plum aromas with meaty, hint ferruginous notes. Minerally and loose-knit with pure raspberry. mulberry, dark plum fruits, earthy ferruginous notes and long sinewy tannins. Finishes crisp and firm with plentiful red and dark berry fruits. Vigorous wine with attractive fruit density and length. Drink now–2027 14.5% alc
