Deep crimson. Very polished wine with lovely dark cherry, blackberry, liquorice aromas with ginger marzipan notes. Concentrated and voluminous wine with dense blackberry, marzipan, ginger flavours and firm gravelly tannins. Builds up claret firm at the finish with pure dark berry fruits and a graphite plume. Lovely wine. Drink now–2038+ 14.5% alc Chaffey Bros. Wine Co Elijah Shiraz 2021 Deep purple. Complex bouquet of dried blackberry, pepper, charcuterie, hints of violets. Full-bodied and savoury with plentiful al dente tannins supporting spicy blackberry notes. Lots of energy and drive on the palate with good freshness. Layered and intriguing, finishing long and savoury. Drink now–2031, 14.5% alc Château Tanunda 50 Year Old Vines Shiraz 2021 Deep crimson. Fragrant musky dark cherry, vanillin marzipan aromas. Very well balanced with deep-set dark cherry, mocha, roasted almond flavours and beautifully integrated chocolaty firm tannins. Finishes chalky and minerally with a twist of aniseed. A lovely well-balanced wine. Drink now–2030 14.9% alc Corryton Burge Shiraz 2021 Deep crimson. Intense bouquet, blackberry jam, pie crust, vanilla. Mouth- filling mulberry, blackberry supported by a fresh acidity, supple tannins, with cedary, toasty overtones. Muscular structure deftly delivering power and freshness. Finishes long. Drink now–2039 14% alc Head Wines Wilton Hill Shiraz 2022 Deep colour. Very expressive blackberry pastille, boysenberry aromas with some ginger/roasted chestnut, hint cedar notes. Generous and deeply set with ample dark berry fruits, a touch of smoked meats, dense chocolaty tannins and plentiful new oak notes. Finishes cedar firm and long. Still quite elemental but clearly from a superb vintage. Drink 2026– 2040 14.5% alc
