Deep crimson. Intense cassis, dark cherry violet aromas with some dark chocolate. Hint menthol notes. Well-concentrated wine with plentiful cassis-minty flavours, underlying dark chocolate notes and fresh, chalky/touch grippy tannins. Builds up firm at the finish with the fruit flowing through to the end. A touch of juicy sweetness gives buoyancy and volume. Drink now–keep for a while 14% alc Eden Hall Block 3 Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 Deep crimson. Lifted blackcurrant, leafy touch sage/violet aromas with liquorice notes. Inky deep wine with attractive cassis leafy, parma violet flavours, fine grainy, touch sinewy tannins, very good mid-palate volume and fresh long acidity, Builds up muscular firm at the finish. Drink now–2030 14.5% alc Hewitson The Dorrien Bank Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 Deep crimson. Attractive blackcurrant, chinotto leafy aromas with sea- breezy notes. Smooth and glossy with ample cassis, touch minty flavours, fine al dente/leafy textures and underlying savoury notes. Bittersweet at the finish. Drink now–2030 13.5% alc Monteperle Wines Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 Deep ruby colour. Classical cassis, redcurrant bell pepper aromas with savoury notes. Fresh and grippy textured wine with ample cassis, leafy flavours, dense grainy tannins and some roasted walnut notes at the finish. Firm leafy finish. Drink now–2030 14.4% alc Orlando Wines Bungalow Lane Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 Deep crimson. Vibrant black cherry, cigar-like aromas with graphite notes. Inky deep and pure fruited with fresh black cherry, blueberry flavours, sinuous and plentiful al dente tannins and underlying savoury notes. Very good energy and persistency, but best as an early drinking style. Drink now–keep for a while.
