Medium crimson. Intense musky plum, panforte, strawberry glacé aromas. Smooth ripe and expressive with plentiful pure strawberry, musky plum, dried apricot fruits, fine slinky textures, superb mid-palate viscosity and a linear thread of aniseed. Finishes dry and fruity with a kick of alcohol and acidity. A beautiful grenache at the pointy end of ripeness. Generous, ripe, fresh and expressive. I can smell the heat and dust. From the highest-altitude grenache plantings in South Australia. Exceptional drinking but best to enjoy the primary fruit expression.
