2020 Howard Park Allingham Chardonnay

Pale colour. Fragrant grapefruit, lemon curd aromas with vanilla butterscotch notes. Superbly concentrated with grapefruit glacé, lemon curd, nectarine fruit, fine chalky textures, superb mid-palate creaminess and fresh indelible acidity, Finishes chalky with persistent yellow fruits. Very seductive with lovely fruit definition, complexity and mineral length. Drink now–2030 2021 Two Hands Lots of In, Lots of Out Coal River Riesling G 97 Very pale colour and a stunning wine from the get-go. Beautifully pristine, precise and pure aromas of pears, white flowers, mineral and spice showing superb subtlety and understated power. That purity follows through on the palate driven by a bolt of balanced acidity and just a touch of sweetness to bring it all together before driving through to a long and fine finish. Just superb although you want to give this wine Pale colour. Intense grapefruit, lemon curd aromas with herb garden/verbena notes. Supple and expressive wine with grapefruit, lemon curd, roasted almond flavours, fine loose-knit chalky textures, lovely mid-palate richness and fresh long crisp acidity. A very sophisticated wine with beautiful fruit complexity, volume and zest. This exceptional wine was vinified and matured in eight seasoned 600L French Demi Muids. After eight months ageing on yeast lees, the wine was racked and cold settled. Drink now–2028 2019 Castagna Ingenue Viognier G 95 Pale yellow. Fresh apricot, lemon curd, verbena, herb garden aromas. Richly flavoured palate with attractive apricot, white peach, pearskin flavours, fine loose-knit chalky/ chewy textures and underlying herb notes. A pure, minerally, bittersweet finish. A very complete and controlled wine with beautiful aromatics and texture. Excellent wine. Drink 2022–2026 2021 Crittenden Peninsula Chardonnay G 94 Pale colour. Fresh nectarine, apricot, hint honeydew melon aromas with attractive yeasty complexity. Vibrant and creamy with ample nectarine, apricot, peach flavours, fine loose-knit chalky textures, and underlying tonic water notes. Finishes crisp and minerally. Delicious drinking. Drink now–2028 some time in the cellar to see its best. Drink 2027–2035 2021 Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc G 96
