Ripe and expressive wine with ample raspberry pastille, red cherry fruits, dense gravelly firm tannins and well integrated fresh acidity. Densely packed wine with marzipan cedar notes. Touch over-extracted. 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. 14.63% alc
Côtes de Bourg Roc de Cambes
93–94 Deep colour. Attractive cedar, dark chocolate, dark plum, panforte aromas and flavours with aniseed/liquorice notes, very good inky density and fine grainy tannins. Seductive sweet fruits at the finish with a kick of aniseed. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. 15% alc Francs – Côtes de Bordeaux Marsau 94–95 Deep colour. Very fresh dark cherry, blackberry pastille, elderberry, aniseed aromas. Dense inky deep elderberry, black cherry confit flavours, fine chalky hint pippy tannins and fresh long saline acidity. Very good density, volume and torque. Aged in mostly seasoned foudres. 100% Merlot. 14.5% alc
Fronsac Les Perrières
94–95 Deep crimson colour. Vibrant graphite, wet bitumen dark berry meaty aromas. Sweet fruited wine with ample dark berry demi glace flavours, very chalky textures and fresh indelible acidity. Brambly finish with saline notes. 50% Merlot, 50% Bouchet (Cabernet Franc). 14.7% alc
