Inky deep wine with fresh black cherry pastille, red plum fruits, supple fine lacy chalky tannins and well balanced roasted chestnut, vanilla oak. Finishes slinky and long. 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc. 60% new oak. 14.5% alc Grand Barrail Marzelle Figeac 94–95 Deep crimson colour. Violet, camomile, mulberry nutmeg aromas with hint nougat notes. Sweet fruited wine with ample mulberry, cassis parma violet flavours, fine loose-knit chalky firm tannins, some marzipan, nougat notes and fresh long quartz-like acidity. Finishes firm and long. Very approachable and lovely to drink. 72% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc. 21% new oak, with small percentage in amphorae. La Clotte 94–95 Deep crimson colour. Wax polish, shellac, dark plum vanilla aromas. Sweet fruited but oak-dominant palate with juicy dark plum, vanilla, wax polish earthy flavours, sturdy and chalky tannins, very good richness and mineral length with bittersweet notes. 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet 94–95 Deep crimson colour. Fresh black cherry, elderberry cassis aromas with some flinty notes. Inky deep with expressive dark berry fruits, fine loose- knit graphite tannins and well balanced savoury, touch marzipan spicy notes. Supple and sweet fruited. All in balance. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon. 50+% new oak. Moulin Saint-Georges 94–95 Deep crimson colour. Marzipan wax polish, plum panforte aromas. Classical proportioned wine with plentiful dark berry fruits, fine chalky tannins, savoury wax polish chestnut, shellac notes and long fresh saline acidity. Delicious wine. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. 14.5% alc Petit Cantenac 94–95 Medium-deep crimson colour. Intense dark plum, black cherry liquorice aromas with dark chocolate. Richly concentrated with inky dark cherry, dark plum fruits, fine loose-knit/slinky bittersweet tannins, a touch of praline and fresh integrated acidity. Finishes chalky/grainy firm with chinotto notes. 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. 14% alc Franc. 15% alc La Dominique
